Day 5 Challenge

These are my main bookshelves, I have many more but I'm planning on doing a bookshelf tour soon so I won't show all of them now. Actually my books are very messy now, I arranged them by series, publishers and some how of a color coordination here and there :D

I am planning on reading The Game of Thrones series this year, starting this month with the first book.

I think my comfy spot for reading is the most boring one: the bed. So I didn't post a picture of it, instead I got one from the internet that represent My dream spot for reading. There you go :)

So that's it for this challenge, I was late on it of course but I thought it would make a good topic for a blog post.

Bout of Books Day 3

Hello everyone !

Day 3 of Bout of Books

I'm late posting the last days of the challenges because I had family stuff to deal with.

I did managed to finish three books but we'll talk about that later.

Day 3 Challenge !

For the cover challenge, collect books from your bookshelf (physical or virtual) and make yourself a rainbow using the covers. A rainbow is ROYGBIV (red, orange, yellow, green, blue, indigo and violet). Then take a photo or arrange images of those books into a rainbow, and either post to twitter (@bookybecksa & #boutofbooks), post to your own blog, etc.

Bout of Books Day 2 and Updates

Here we are with the Bout of Books Day 2 !

Today's challenge is:

Writing my own fairy tale - Would you rather.

So in order to solve today's challenge I got the questions that I have to answer from the host of this particular challenge, Lori @ Writing my own fairy tale

So here are my answers ^_^

Would you rather:
Lend books to someone who dog-ears pages or to someone who reads with cheesy Cheetos fingers?

Oh.. hard one.. but I hate when books are stained with ..stuff.. and I never eat while I am reading, so I rather lend them to someone that dog-ears the pages. (and that would happen if it's absolutely necesary)

Would you rather:
Be able to meet one character of your choice or meet one author of your choice?

Meeting an author it's way easier there days, if we're talking about contemporary, but I would much more prefer to be able to meet one character of my choice, and from all the characters I could think of I would choose Hardin Scott from After, because that means I would meet Harry Styles as well. (fangirling right now- bare with me)

Would you rather:
Never be allowed in a book store again or never be allowed in a library again?

I usualy don't go to library as often as I would like because I don't find the books that I want at the library in my country, but also I don't shop my books in book stores.. except one. Either way would be the same for me, although I will go with - never be allowed in a library again.

Would you rather:
Have to choose one of your favorite characters to die in their book or have to pick one of your favorite couples to break up in their book?

I would rather have to pick one of my favourite couples to break up in their book. A death would be unbearable for me, so I think that a break up could be easily sorted out.

Would you rather:
Be required to read Twilight once a year for the rest of your life or The Scarlet Letter once a year for the rest of your life?

I would rather be required to read Twilight once a year, because I was a fan of the series when it first came out so it would be a pleasure to re-read it.

Provocarea zilei de astăzi este:

Writing my own fairy tale - Ai prefera să.

Aşa că pentru a rezolva provocarea de astăzi am luat întrebările la care trebuie să răspund de la gazda acestei provocări, Lori @ Writing my own fairy tale

Iată răspunsurile mele ^_^

Ai prefera să:
Împrumuţi cărţi cuiva care îndoaie colţurile paginilor sau cuiva care citeşte în timp ce mănâncă o gustare unsuroasă?

Păi ..asta este una destul de grea.. dar urăsc atunci când cărţile sunt pătate cu.. chestii.. iar eu niciodată nu mănânc când citesc, aşa că aş prefera să le dau cuiva care îndoaie colţurile paginilor. (şi asta doar dacă este absolut necesar)

Ai prefera să:
Să ai posibilitatea de a întâlni un personaj la alegerea ta sau de a întâlni un autor la alegerea ta?

Să întâlneşti un autor este mult mai uşor în zilele noastre, dacă vorbim de cei contemporani, dar aş prefera de 1000 de ori să am posibilitatea să întâlni un personaj la alegerea mea, şi din toate personajele la care m-am putut gândi l-aş alege pe Hardin Scott din seria After, pentru că asta ar însemna să îl întâlnesc pe Harry Styles de asemenea. (moment de fană acum, aveţi răbdare cu mine vă rog)

Ai prefera să:
Nu mai ai voie sa intri niciodată într-o librărie sau într-o bibliotecă?

Deobicei nu prea merg la bibliotecă aşa de mult (pe cât mi-aş dori cel puţin), pentru că acolo nu găsesc acele cărţi pe care aş vrea eu să le văd în bibliotecile de la noi, dar nici nu merg mereu să cumpăr cărţi de la librăriile din oraş, cu excepţia uneia. În ambele situaţii mi-ar fi indiferent, cu toate acestea o să aleg - să nu mai am voie să intru niciodată într-o bibliotecă. (sper că aţi înţeles ce am vrut să zic, în capul meu are sens :)) )

Ai prefera să:
Ai de ales ca un personaj preferat să moară în carte sau unul din cuplurile tale preferate să se despartă în carte?

Aş prefera cred că de 1000 de ori ca unul dintre cuplurile mele preferate să se despartă în carte. O moarte ar fi de nesuportat pentru mine, aşa că spun - despărţire pentru că ar fi mai uşor de rezolvat.

Ai prefera să:
Îţi fie cerut să citeşti seria Amurg o dată pe an pentru tot restul vieţii tale sau The Scarlet Letter o dată pe an pentru tot restul vieţii tale?

Aş prefera să-mi fie cerut să citesc Amurg o dată pe an, pentru că am fost fană a seriei de prima dată când a apărut aşa că ar fi o plăcere pentru mine să o recitesc.

Deci, acestea sunt răspunsurile mele pentru provocarea de astăzi, mulţumiri speciale gazdei, Lori şi mult succes tuturor participanţilor.

The Bout of Books read-a-thon is organized by Amanda @ On a Book Bender and Kelly @ Reading the Paranormal. I am participating this year for the first time ever, so I am very very very excited. I have already sign up here so you can do that as well, it's not big deal at all.

Read-a-thons

Hello everybody !

Starting with today's post I'll make this blog bilingual because it will be much more easier for me to socialize with the foreign readers community as well as the romanian one.

First of all as you have seen in the title of this post, today is about Read-a-thons.

What is a Read-a-thon?

A Read-a-thon is a wide sponsored reading event run in schools, encouraging children – even reluctant readers – to read for pleasure. Children can read whatever they like, including comics, non-fiction, poetry, electronic books, or just listen to stories.

I also have a schedule for the entire year with all of the upcoming Read-a-thons, and I will show them to you below.

In primul rand dupa cum ati vazut si in titlul acestei postari, astazi vorbim despre Read-a-thons.

Ce este un Read-a-thon?

Un Read-a-thon este un fel de eveniment mondial desfasurat in scoli care indruma atat copiii cat si adultii sa citeasca de placere. Acestia pot citi tot ceea ce doresc, incluzand comicuri, non-fictiuni, poezie, carti electronice sau chiar sa asculte povesti.

De asemenea am pentru voi si un calendar al acestor evenimente literare pe care il voi lasa mai jos.

Aceste Read-a-thon-uri s-au petrecut si in anii trecuti si exista posibilitatea sa se petreaca si anul acesta.
